SOMERVILLE (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Friends and family braved the rain to honor Deanna Cremin who was murdered 15 years ago. Hundreds gathered on Jacques Street in Somerville on Monday evening for a candlelight vigil.

17-year-old Deanna Cremin was attacked and murdered while walking home on March 30th 1995. Her murder is still unsolved.

On the night Deanna was last seen alive, she was at her boyfriend’s house watching TV. He told Deanna’s mother that he walked her half of the way home, leaving her to walk the rest of the way alone. Deanna’s body was discovered about a block away from where he says he last saw her.

Middlesex DA Gerry Leone says he will not talk about potential suspects, but told FOX25’s Bob Ward that forensic evidence may soon help unmask Deanna’s killer.
